Visualizing My Amal Journey

Back in March 2021, when the recruitment process is going on, I randomly researched some of the internships in Pakistan. In my research, I found a PepsiCo. internship having a Career Prep Program conducted by AMAL Academy. So, I applied for it. What exactly happened was that I mistakenly assumed that internship would be started in summers 2021, but in actual it was started in the Spring semester that I realized on the orientation day that was conducted by Miss Sehar. I am currently a 6th-semester software student. And it was considered one of the difficult semesters in our department. So, I thought to quit at the start but I thought it also good to start building soft skills. I remembered my very first activity in which Hira Arshad shared her screen and we drew a dog using some of the pre-defined shapes.
Let’s see how it looked like:

I remembered that there was a Job Fair conducted at our university during my week journey with AMAL and it had nothing to do with me (as Job Fair was basically for the Final Year Students). But I participated in it as a random individual. By having some random chit-chat with industry employees. I realized the fact that I lacked soft skills that were the main requirement to have a good job. This makes me a boost to continue the journey from AMAL Academy.

The below picture showed my behavior that I with my friends conducted a dummy interview with one of the guy at the Job Fair.

Conducting Dummy Interviews

Giving goosebumps I remembered that my life would be going to change as I looked at myself as more confident, more sensible, and most importantly my horizon of looking into things was totally changed. But the main thing was that I had not professional behavior. But as our fellowship was going on, the courses (AMAL courses and academic) get tougher and tougher and I found less time in giving respond to messages at our AMAL WhatsApp Group.

But I also remembered that I found very beautiful faces with their beautiful hearts. What I felt different was that whenever we speak during the session, all other fellows just listening to us as they were ours.

I also remembered the way Mahnoor giving us a suggestion to do a dab pose.

I remembered I achieved 1st position in Pakistan in the Google KickStart Coding Competition 2021 during the 1st week of our fellowship.

So, in the last, all I want to say that I am now more confident, more sensible, and more professional in a way that now I can easily give interviews, conducting interviews, giving time to studies, making CV and Resume.

“So, thank you AMAL. I am AMAL and AMAL is me”
